    What You'll Do

    As the Billing Assistant, you will be a self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has very strong number skills and attention to detail, practices excellent communication and listening habits, is process oriented, possesses a degree of intellectual curiosity, with a general understanding of how the revenue cycle function operates within our Company.

    Manage most aspects of Company’s accounts receivable including:

    • Submission of accurate patient claims
    • Denied claims
    • Explanation of benefits (EOBs)
    • Data entry
    • Patient statements
    • Posting cash payments
    • Coordinating with our providers on collections
    • Following up on delayed or incomplete claims in a timely manner
    • Keep up-to- date on changes in third-party payer reimbursements
    • Contact with insurance companies to follow up on claim status
    • Tracking and providing feedback to ensure consistency in clean claim submission

    Who You Are

    • One (1) year of health billing experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Payors
    • Working knowledge of Direct Data Entry (DDE), Ability, and Explanation of Benefits (EOB’s)
    • Experience in follow-up on Return to Provider (RTP) and rejected claims
    • Microsoft Office with strength in Microsoft Excel
    • Strong analytical and technical skills as well as strong organizational skills required
    • Strong work ethic, self-motivation and ability to work independently required
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills required)
    • High School Diploma or GED (some college preferred, but not required)
    • Ability to communicate professionally and reassure customers when needed.
    • Position requires fluency in English, written and oral communication
